Rebecca Crossthwaite

BSc (Hons) MA(Hons)

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist RCST

Rebecca holds an MA in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh, where her academic focus centered on the role of the arts—particularly theatre and dance—as catalysts for health and well-being. Her research emphasized the transformative potential of these creative practices in fostering holistic healing, laying a solid foundation for her integrative approach to healthcare.

Following the birth of her son, Rebecca pursued her passion for supporting individuals during pivotal life transitions by training as a midwife in 2005. She went on to practice as a community midwife for over a decade, where she was dedicated to providing comprehensive care that acknowledged the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each individual. Her work was driven by a commitment to delivering empathetic and personalized healthcare that went beyond the conventional medical model.

During her tenure as a midwife, Rebecca was introduced to Craniosacral Therapy through her pregnant and post-natal clients, who sought this therapeutic approach to address a range of conditions that standard medical interventions often struggled to alleviate. Impressed by the therapy’s holistic methodology and its remarkable outcomes, she was inspired to further her knowledge in this field. In 2022, she trained and qualified as a Craniosacral Therapist with the Resonance School, subsequently contributing to the school's training programs as an assistant.

Rebecca is currently advancing her expertise by studying fascial unwinding, delving deeper into the critical role of the body's connective tissue in promoting health and healing. Her professional journey continues to be guided by a commitment to integrating comprehensive, whole-person approaches to well-being in all aspects of her work.
